Christmas Tree in Rome 2021

Christmas Tree in Rome 2021

How many 🎄Christmas trees do you think there are in Rome❓

They are an enormous number if you think that Rome has over 5.000.000 inhabitants and at least in every home there is one.
Not to mention those that are in front of the stores and a bit ‘everywhere.

Instead, you should know that Romans are waiting for only two Christmas trees🎄

The first is the one in St. Peter’s that makes the basilica even more beautiful.
Those who are lucky enough to be in Rome at this time, can go and admire the huge fir tree in the center of St. Peter’s Square.
Important advice.
Go in the evening to admire the majestic tree all glowing because, although it is lit all day, it is only in the evening that you feel the true spirit of Christmas admiring that tree.

The second tree is the one located a short distance from St. Peter’s.
You cross the Tiber, pass in front of Piazza Navona and arrive at Piazza Venezia where several important roads cross:
from Via del Corso, the shopping street of the Romans,
to Via dei Fori Imperiali which leads to the Colosseum.
It is in this square that the second huge 🎄 Christmas tree is located.

A tree that all Romans want to see, not so much to observe it distractedly but because they have to judge it.
This Christmas tree is in fact put up by the municipality of Rome that decides its size and Christmas decorations.

All the citizens of Rome, who in their history have always been judges of things in the city, can’t wait to talk about it at the bar or with friends.
If you go around at this time everyone is talking about it.

Some say it’s beautiful, some wonder if it’s big enough or if it’s too brightly lit or too little.

There are people who wonder if to save money they put the one from last year or some even if it is real or fake.

In all cases you have to go and see it to be able to give your opinion.
Let me know what the tree in Piazza Venezia looks like.
Then I’ll tell you what I think!
